The PEEK Torus is ideal for cleaning hygiene-sensitive process vessels in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries. Applications in these industries have often placed requirements on cleaning technology that could not be met. Ball-bearing rotating nozzles are usually not suitable for prolonged exposure to compressed air, and static spray balls require large quantities of liquid and achieve poor cleaning effectiveness. The PEEK Torus is extremely hygienic and resistant. It features a highly deformation-resistant, robust rotor made of PEEK, providing maximum resistance to high temperatures and operational abrasion.
The PEEK Torus is ideally suited for use in high-temperature applications and for superheated steam sterilisation or exposure to compressed air. During operation, the rotor rotates rapidly, producing an even and far-reaching distribution of liquid droplets. The rotor is liquid-borne during operation and suffers no abrasion; the inside of the nozzle is constantly flushed with liquid during cleaning.
The PEEK Torus was developed together with the pharmaceutical and chemical industries, with a focus on absolute resistance for long-lasting steam sterilisation or drying applications.
During the test phase, the PEEK Torus achieved the following operating times: >700 hours of cleaning operation at 3 bar liquid pressure; >350 hours of steam sterilisation at 138°C; >350 hours of dry running with 8 bar air pressure.
After the test phase, no measurable signs of wear were found. This resistance ensures reliable, consistent cleaning over many years. By using a PEEK Torus instead of static spray balls, our customers have already saved up to 82% of cleaning liquid or liquid requiring treatment.
The PEEK Torus is available with a PEEK or C.PEEK rotor. The C.PEEK variant is FDA compliant and suitable for potentially explosive areas.
The PEEK Torus consists of 4 individual components and can be completely disassembled. This allows any altered components to be repaired or reconditioned. Every component of this model is available as a spare part.
The PEEK Torus is available as Torus 50 with DN15 and as Torus 75 with DN 20 cotter pin connection.
